Acts 16:16-18 ESV

Acts 16:16-18 ESV /

As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling. She followed Paul and us, crying out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation.” And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour

With Jesus sending out his follower with the authority of MArk 16 and Luke recorded that the follower healed and produced miracles. Not just the big “Apostles” but little old believers like Annanias who healed the scales right off of Saul the Apostle Pauls eyes. We even can drink poison if it is forced in us and nothing happens. Paul shook a venomous serpent off when all thought he was a dead man.

So who dares contradict the words of Jesus himself:

Jhn 14:11

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Unchecked Copy Box Jhn 14:12

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Unchecked Copy Box Jhn 14:13

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son

Unchecked Copy Box Jhn 14:14

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
