But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
It is listed as the seventh quality of the Spirit of God.
Meekness is a noun defining the quality of meekness. In Greek it is πραότης praotēs and it meekness is « πρᾶος » or « πραΰς » praus meaning « meekness. But what would I want to be meek for? The world taught me to be aggressive in a dog eat or be eaten world. Evolution that say there is no creator taught me the it is « survival of the fittest » So does might make right?
If there is no God that created the universe it would make sense. But we live in an orderly universe which is run not by man but God almighty
But what does meekness really mean, do you understand it.
Meekness means to be gentle, friendly, accomodating, and perhaps more than anything it means to be tame.
We have the power to do miracles by the Spirit of God and yet we must be tame. IF not it would be like giving the power to a wild stallion that does only what it wants. It could run and buck through all the stables until it is tame. But with controled power the horse could also become a show horse and win competitions. Or it could be tamed to be a power horse for a warrior. The Warrior is Christ of course because He should be in control not us. And that is how we win.
Actually our Lord Jesus Christ was meek to His Father and that is our example. He obeyed and did not buck even in trial up to the cross and God rewarded Him with the name above all names as second in command of the Universe.
Mat 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
When we surrender to God being in control it is an act of will. We are not surrending our will but using our will to chose to obey for love. The devil conrols and possess by fear not love. There is no torment to be submitted to God but calm rest. Let the will of the Lord be done, Jesus prayed! And that is how Jesus defeated the devil, but not by his own will.
Jas 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Jas 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
This goes against our fallen nature and all our fallen instincts. But would you really want to submit to the devil and be humble before his plans for you? We can chose to walk by the spirit and have love and all the fruit of the spirit. Or walk by the flesh. We need to let God set the plan and the order for our lives and overcome the devil. Unless we want the devil to win and destroy us through are own pride.
Rebellion The opposite of meekness is work and hard work. We want to be friendly to God but not fiercely opposed to him. We need His wisdom and guidance as a tame horse needs the rider to guide his power.
The man that parted the Red Sea and performed the miracles in front of Pharoah, the man who single handed lead the rebellious house of Israel out of Egypt was meek. More meek than all men. That was why God could resist Pharoah. He chose the meekest of all men, to be the most powerful.
Num 12:3
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Psa 25:9
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psa 37:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah
Let the humble resist the devil and the meek become warriors under Gods control!
Gal 2:20 Je suis crucifié avec Christ ; cependant je vis, et ce n’est pas moi qui vis, c’est Christ qui vit en moi ; et la vie que je mène maintenant dans la chair, je la mène par la foi au Fils de Dieu, qui m’a aimé et qui s’est donné lui-même pour moi.
Alors, suis-je parti pour me battre pour avoir ma voie ou pour me battre pour laisser Dieu avoir sa voie ?
Imaginez la docilitéde Saul pour devenir Paul. Imaginez comment il a dû mourir à tout ce qui faisait son succès et sa valeur en tant que pharisien des pharisiens. Imaginez qu’il ait dû mourir à tout ce qui faisait sa vie de pharisien lorsqu’il a été converti par une apparition personnelle de Jésus. “Saul, Saul, pourquoi me persécutes-tu ? “Persécuter les chrétiens, c’était blesser le propre corps de Jésus, ceux qui sont appelés. La douceur est une qualité et il n’est possible de l’avoir que par l’esprit de Dieu puisque c’est un fruit de l’Esprit qu’il nous a donné. Gal 5:16 Voici donc ce que je dis : Marchez selon l’Esprit, et vous n’accomplirez pas les désirs de la chair.
Gal 5:22-23 Mais le fruit de l’Esprit, c’est l’amour, la joie, la paix, la longanimité, la gentillesse, la bonté, la foi, la douceur, la tempérance : contre de telles qualités, il n’y a pas de loi. Elle est citée comme la septième qualité de l’Esprit de Dieu. La douceur est un substantif qui définit la qualité de la douceur. En grec, il se dit πραότης praotēs et la douceur est ” πρᾶος ” ou ” πραΰς ” praus signifiant ” douceur “. Mais pourquoi voudrais-je être doux ? Le monde m’a appris à être agressif dans un monde où les chiens mangent ou sont mangés. L’évolution qui dit qu’il n’y a pas de créateur m’a appris que c’est “la survie du plus apte”. Alors est-ce que la force fait le droit ? S’il n’y a pas de Dieu qui a créé l’univers, cela aurait un sens. Mais nous vivons dans un univers ordonné qui n’est pas dirigé par l’homme mais par Dieu tout-puissant. Mais que signifie vraiment la douceur, la comprenez-vous ? La douceur signifie être doux, amical, accommodant, et peut-être plus que tout, cela signifie être apprivoisé. Nous avons le pouvoir de faire des miracles par l’Esprit de Dieu et pourtant nous devons être dociles. Sinon, ce serait comme donner ce pouvoir à un étalon sauvage qui ne fait que ce qu’il veut. Il pourrait courir et ruer dans toutes les écuries jusqu’à ce qu’il soit apprivoisé. Mais avec un pouvoir contrôlé, le cheval pourrait aussi devenir un cheval de concours et gagner des compétitions. Ou bien il pourrait être apprivoisé pour devenir un cheval de force pour un guerrier. Le guerrier est le Christ, bien sûr, car c’est Lui qui devrait avoir le contrôle, pas nous. Et c’est ainsi que nous gagnons. En fait, notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ était doux envers son Père et c’est notre exemple. Il a obéi et n’a pas cédé même dans l’épreuve jusqu’à la croix et Dieu l’a récompensé avec le nom au-dessus de tous les noms en tant que second en commande de l’Univers. Mat 11:29 Prenez mon joug sur vous, et apprenez de moi ; car je suis doux et humble de coeur, et vous trouverez le repos de vos âmes. Lorsque nous nous abandonnons au contrôle de Dieu, c’est un acte de volonté. Nous n’abandonnons pas notre volonté mais nous l’utilisons pour choisir d’obéir par amour. Le diable contrôle et possède par la peur et non par l’amour. Il n’y a pas de tourment à se soumettre à Dieu mais un calme repos. Que la volonté du Seigneur soit faite, a prié Jésus ! Et c’est ainsi que Jésus a vaincu le diable, mais pas par sa propre volonté. Jc 4,6 Mais il donne plus de grâce. C’est pourquoi il dit : Dieu résiste aux orgueilleux, mais il fait grâce aux humbles. Jc 4:7 Soumettez-vous donc à Dieu. Résistez au diable, et il fuira loin de vous. Cela va à l’encontre de notre nature déchue et de tous nos instincts déchus. Mais voulez-vous vraiment vous soumettre au diable et être humble devant ses plans pour vous ? Nous pouvons choisir de marcher par l’esprit et d’avoir l’amour et tous les fruits de l’esprit. Ou de marcher par la chair. Nous devons laisser Dieu établir le plan et l’ordre de notre vie et vaincre le diable. A moins que nous ne voulions que le diable gagne et nous détruise par notre propre orgueil. La rébellion L’opposé de la douceur est le travail et le dur labeur. Nous voulons être amis avec Dieu, mais pas farouchement opposés à lui. Nous avons besoin de sa sagesse et de ses conseils comme un cheval apprivoisé a besoin de son cavalier pour guider sa puissance. L’homme qui a ouvert la mer Rouge et accompli les miracles devant le Pharaon, l’homme qui a conduit d’une seule main la maison rebelle d’Israël hors d’Égypte était doux. Plus doux que tous les hommes. C’est pourquoi Dieu a pu résister au Pharaon. Il a choisi le plus doux de tous les hommes, pour être le plus puissant. Nombres 12:3 (Or, Moïse était un homme très doux, plus doux que tous les hommes qui étaient sur la face de la terre). Psaume 25:9 Il guidera le doux dans le jugement, et il enseignera sa voie au doux. Psa 37:11 Mais les doux hériteront la terre, et se réjouiront de l’abondance de la paix. Psa 76:9 Quand Dieu s’est levé pour juger, pour sauver tous les doux de la terre. Selah Que les humbles résistent au diable et que les doux deviennent des guerriers sous le contrôle de Dieu !

Quelques jours peut-être. ” Chapitre 3 Dans ce chapitre, nous avons un miracle et un sermon : le miracle accompli pour faire place au sermon, pour confirmer la doctrine qui devait être prêchée, et pour la faire entrer dans l’esprit du peuple ; et ensuite le sermon pour expliquer le miracle, et pour ensemencer le terrain qui avait été brisé par celui-ci. “Matthew Henry Peut-être que nous ne voyons pas les incroyants croire jusqu’à ce qu’ils voient une action devant leurs yeux. Il y a assez de paroles et certaines sont vraies et d’autres sont fausses. Mais nous avons besoin de voir la Vérité en action à nouveau. A-t-il dit, et ne le fera-t-il pas ? A-t-il parlé, et ne l’accomplira-t-il pas ? Je soupçonne l’homme de mentir et les théologiens et les dirigeants sont des hommes. Ils peuvent donc mentir, mais pas mon Dieu. Je soupçonne que les plus grandes et les meilleures cathédrales de cristal peuvent changer les paroles de Dieu mais pas la parole de DIEU et Jésus est la Parole. Il est le même hier, aujourd’hui et pour toujours. Pourtant, nous changeons de point de vue à chaque génération et nous nous laissons berner par les hommes. Nous devons apprendre à connaître le Seigneur Jésus qui est avec nous et vivant pour nous guider dans toute la vérité. Je pense que l’homme invente des âges et des dispensations et qu’il prend Dieu à petites doses, mais mon Dieu est un amour infini et il fait des promesses immuables. Les hommes les changeront. Je crois que nous pouvons vivre avec la même puissance qu’eux quelques jours après la Pentecôte. Mais nous préférons qu’on nous mente et aller à l’église. Après que le boiteux, infirme de naissance, ait été miraculeusement guéri à la vue du peuple, il fallait une explication. Les miracles réclament une explication du Christ ! Pierre et Jean avaient un public captif ce jour-là ! Comme Jésus l’avait promis juste avant son ascension, ils auraient le pouvoir de témoigner. Et Pierre et Jean l’ont utilisé ! Actes 3:11 Et comme le boiteux qui avait été guéri tenait Pierre et Jean, tout le peuple accourut vers eux dans le portique appelé Salomon, dans un grand étonnement. Ils étaient stupéfaits, hors de leurs chaussettes ou de leurs toges. Ils étaient stupéfaits et choqués par la puissance de Dieu. Paul a enseigné aux Corinthiens la manière correcte de gérer la manifestation de cette puissance dans 1 Cor chapitre 12 à 14. Elle était donc disponible pour les croyants réguliers à l’époque et elle l’est encore aujourd’hui ! Nous devrions apprendre à connaître la puissance que Jésus-Christ nous a envoyée ! Si nous ne voulons pas vivre des vies chrétiennes impuissantes sous la botte de la peur de l’ennemi. Étudiez la lettre aux Corinthiens, chapitre 12-14 et apprenez quelle puissance vous avez au bout de vos doigts ! Lorsque Pierre avait leur attention, il aurait pu s’attribuer tout le mérite et se glorifier lui-même et son ministère comme ayant le pouvoir secret. Mais il était là pour partager le secret, et il n’avait plus besoin d’être secret. Christ était vivant en eux et il le leur a dit. Il a partagé la bonne nouvelle avec eux ce jour-là. Et Pierre n’a pas gagné un concours de popularité auprès des gens, mais il l’a fait auprès de Dieu !

In this chapter we have a miracle and a sermon: the miracle wrought to make way for the sermon, to confirm the doctrine that was to be preached, and to make way for it into the minds of the people; and then the sermon to explain the miracle, and to sow the ground which by it was broken up. » Matthew Henry
Perhaps we do not see unbelievers believe until they see some action in front of their eyes. There is enough words and some are true and some are false. But we need to see the Truth in action again. We need to see the name of Jesus again in action and miracles to open the door for the Gospel to be preached. But the religious have killed the power of the holy spirit and the Promise of the Father with their compartmentalization of APostolic ages, and idfferenent dispensations. That is man but God says :
Mal 3 :1 « 6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. »
Heb 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Isaiah 40:8 ESV / The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
James 1:17 ESV / Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
Numbers 23:19 ESV / God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
I suspect man lies and theologians and leads are men. So they can lie but not my God.
I suspect that the biggest and best crystal cathedrals can change the words of God but not The word of GOD and Jesus is the Word.
He is the same yesterday today and forever. Yet we change our point of view ever generation and are fooled by men. We need to get to know the Lord Jesus is with us and alive to huide us into all truth. I think man makes up ages and dispensations and that he takes God in small doses but my God is infinite love and He makes unchanging promises. Men will change them. I believe we can live with the same power they did a few days after Pentecost. But we prefer to be lied to and go to church.
After the lame man, crippled from birth, was miraculously healed in view of the people there needed to be an explanation. Miracles cry out for an explanation of Christ!
Peter and John had a captive audience that day! As Jesus had promised just before His ascension, that they would have power to witness. And Peter and John used it!
Act 3:11
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
They were astonished out of their socks or togas. They were amazed and shocked into attention by the power of God. Paul taught the proper way to handle the manifestation of this power to the Corinthians in 1 Cor chapter 12 to 14. And so it was available to regular believers then and so it is now! We should get to know the power Christ Jesus sent to us! If we do not want to live impotent Christian lives under the boot of the enemie’s fear. Study the letter to Corinthians chapter 12-14 and learn what power you have at your fingertips!
When Peter had their attention he could had took all the credit and glorify himself and his ministry as having the secret power. But He was there to share the secret, and it did not have to be secret no longer. Christ was alive in them and He told them. He shared the good news with them that day. And Peter did not win a popularity contest with the people but he did with God!
Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time for prayer, at three o’clock in the afternoon.

But notice that they did no go to the sacrifice!
« Morgan points out that Peter and John were not going to the temple at the hour of sacrifice, but at the hour of prayer that followed the afternoon sacrifice. They realized that the sacrificial system was fulfilled in the perfect sacrifice Jesus offered on the cross. »
Now this happened after the follower of Christ received the power of the holy spirit on Pentecost, the power that was needed to witness. This was the power that won people and itw as expressed in miracles and healings!
What happened since then? We have seen no power but dead ritual and sacrifice at an altar instead of the power of God. We have seen condemnation and crusades but now love and healing. We have seen kings and governements owned by the devil take the church as their own and manipulated the masses for war and greed instead of love and giving….. This is what history shows us. But was it His Story?
Act 3:2
And a man lame from birth was being carried up, who was placed at the temple gate called “the Beautiful Gate” every day so he could beg for money from those going into the temple courts.
Act 3:3
When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple courts, he asked them for money.
Act 3:4
Peter looked directly at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!”
Act 3:5
So the lame man paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them
The lame man who could not walk all of his life, was going to receive the ability to walk. WHat a gift. How much money would that be worth in present day terms? If a millionaire could not walk would it be worth a million dollars. How much would a trillionaire spend. Yet this was a poor beggar and he received this miracle!
Miracles like this would blow away the belief in the money system today. Many people are seeing that money has no worth in itself if you cannot spend it. Like today in the Covid upheaval. People are ripe to see power and miracles. So God what happened? Why did you stop with the apostles in the apostolic age or did you God?
Act 3:6
But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!”
If Jesus returned not in some future day but returned in a real way as the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Christ that dwells in every believe to give us power and love, then we have been fooled. Somewhere the relgious churches started teaching fallacies not the Truth.
I do no believe that the power of the holy spirit was limited to the twelve apostles Jesus chose to send out. They could not be expected to bring the gospel to the « uttermost parts of the world »
Remeber when Jesus Himself corrected the Jewish patriots that wanted only to see the Jews saved and their Kingdom of Israel.
Act 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”
We see the twelve or maybe the one hundred twenty receive the power and they began with magically speaking in the languages of the hearers and continued speaking the languages of all the tribes of man and angels. We see whenever people received the Holy spirit it was manifested in speaking in tongues, prophecy and miracles. Not just the twelve apostles but all and not just Jews but even Romans received this power to do miracles and faith to move mountains. But today since the European Rennaisance we have our faith not in the Creator but science and alchemy. Today it is reigning supreme and all around the world believe in the internet technology but much less in God. To see miracles you must first have faith as Jesus taught « by your faith you are healed »
But if the community faith of not just your country but the global web is in science, how do we break through this web of unbelief? If we could throw off this unbelief we will see miracles like this again. But today with all our break through in medice people suffer and die the same. If we could break free of this unbelief we could see miracles like in the beginning of the Kingdom of God being preached in the first century by all apostles. Apostle is not a title but it means « one sent » and we are all apostles and all have the responsibility to believe the Shepherd.
On this day there was no competition of satellite tv or iphones. The atmosphere of expectation had been set by Jesus healing and supplying by miracles. The temperature of belief in that age was hot not cold as today. The man heard the command « stand up and walk » He knew of this Jesus and probable seen Him heal at the temple. He knew the power of the name of Jesus, so when Peter commanded « in the name » the man knew that it was possible and available to walk. So He acted on the promise of GOd that He could and He got up on his feet and did it!
Jhn 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus went to the Father as recorded in Acts by Luke and He promised to not leave us. He sent Himself in the holy spirit on Pentecost. But how we have shoveled that under so many sacrements and religious ritual and work. We have not been taught He really has returned and only that He will.
Jhn 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Jhn 14:14
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Jhn 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
So if you love Him and not technology maybe it is time to shut off your tv and study the bible instead? If you really love Him, if not love your Technology, that idol will save you not.
Notice Jesus never limited His power to the twelve He chose to kick start the Kingdom. No it was promised to « He that believeth on me » Do you believe in Jesus?
It was promised to so that God our Father may be glorified not the works of man or science to the planets.
We need to beleive in Him today and see miracles again. But we must fight against the unbelief of all the so called christ followers around us. Fighting with much prayer and love but with the armor of God. It never was easy and it is like swimming against all curennts and walking through molasses. But it is possible with God for all things are possible with GOd and those who believe. Greater is He, the power of God, in you than he that is the world. And lately I realize that the Greater one in me is the holy spirit who is Christ in me. The part of me that is influenced and sick is « he that is still in the world » not just the devil. And there in is the battle, the enemy is us.
Jesus did not put the burden only on twelve men to preach the Gospel to the world
Why would He limit the power of miracle to them? Satan surely would eliminate the power as soon as he could and he did through organizing religion, philosophies and the pride of men.
Mar 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Did He say to the twelve? No to everyone who believes, no limit to persons or ages!
Mar 16:17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
So why are we not seeing signs and miracles? Why is it abnormal for believers to speak in tongues? Why are all the people in psychiatric ward on pharmaceuticals manager their demons instead of releasing them to freedom? Why? I believe it is due to religion taking the place of Jesus’ words
Mar 16:18
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Then He ascended and went to the Father so they could return to us a few days hense as the gift of the Holy spirit on Pentecost. The power had never left since the first century but we have stopped believing. There is the problem. We have substituted impotent religion for The Truth, Jesus dwelling in us Himself!

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Luk 17:12-19

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Every time Jesus performs a miracle of healing He requires our belief, our faith. But if we cannot or do not believe because of all the brainwashing or I should really say all the corruption of your minds, how can you believe? So we see no more miracles, not because God cannot do it But because we say no God cannot do that. It was just for the first century. I would like to know how the devil talked our pastors to stop teaching the truth??
When a woman had spent all her money on doctors and pills to stop her hemorrage, her faith in Jesus did. Today do we believe in the medical system or God? Is He no longer willing? Or is it us?
When the man lost his daughter Jesus said just believe. But believe in what? A new anti-death vaccine? Only in Jesus and the man believed. Jesus was able to raise the dead.
And then when there were lepers, a disease as contagious as Covid but with worse results. A disease where the rulers quarantined them and kept them away from the healthy public. Not like the closure of healthy society we see today, But they ruler treated them like, well lepers. Not to get near or have any compassion on the cursed ones. But today we have non-vacinated people taking their place. Still Jesus did not care. They beleived in Him and « Their faith or believing in Jesus made them whole. And only in Jesus.
I don’t know how this « apostolic age » or any or the dispensational ages were created in hell and foisted onto us believers. It is the diabolic plane to eviscerate the Body of Christ from working today! How could we have let this be??
So they say the power and miracles were only for the twelve chosen and sent by Jesus to start the church? Really?
Then why have these people received the power?
Act 10:45
And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Here it was not just the twelve apostles that received the power of the holy spirit and not even Samaritans, but this time itw as Italian Dogs. Well, that is what the Jews had been taught to think of their brothers in other tribes called « Gentiles » Now we see the power is poured on everyone who believes. Only un belief can stop the power of God, and today we have arrived at a time where unbelief in the power of God is a mass epidemic. And I see no reason why God has changed or limited his promise to all who believe.
But if the problem is belief in the wrong information what can we do? Go to the internet and dig deeper? No Go to Jesus because He still is with us today and is alive waiting for a relationship with you.
We have been lied to that the power was only given to the chosen twelve apostles. But we are all apostles! We have all been sent to preach the Gospel. The word « apostle » or ἀπόστολος nin Greek simply means « one who is sent » and it is also our mission since all beleivers are sent to preach in one manner or another to build this new Kingdom of God on earth. All believers are asked to preach the gospel to every creature, as Mark 16 recorded. And yes Jesus will have to come back in person to finish up the job due to unbelief, And that is Grace too!
Rom 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
Saved is more than having a ticket to escape hell fire. It is not just a ticket or assurance for someday happiness. It is being changed and given everything you need today and for eternity. How many people around us would not want Eternal life now with all its health, peace, joy and love? Well how can they call on Jesus if the communists have erased his name from society? Who will they call ghost busters or Mao? It is all our job to let our brothers know and love them!
Rom 10:14
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Some one needs to preach and the job is open for all beleivers who already have called on Jesus and keep calling on Him for help. Salvation has a beginning but it is never ending healing.
We are all called to be preachers and what is a preacher? Not someone necessarily who wheres a white collar backward. COuld be, but that is not the idea. The word preach here in greek means to be a preacher. A Kerux in Greek. What Paul was trying to tell us is to act as « heralds » Town criers were hired to go down the main street crying « Hear ye, Oye oye! I have good new » And if any one has it, it is us! Jesus is alive! a Messenger. Not a herald that « The herald blew his trumpet and shouted that the King was dead. » but we have the priviledge of blowing our trumpet (do miracles) and cry the king is alive!
Rom 10:15
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
sent is the word apostello from which we get the title apostle. so we are all sent and we are all apostle
