Genesis defines seed and sowing. Many foundations have been laid for God’s word in the book that lays out the creation of all things.

There are two words I want to look at to understand all that is meant when Paul uses the analogy of seed in the context of life and resurrection to new life.

The words used in the Greek New Testament and in the LXX translation of the Old Testament are

Seed is “Sperma” and “sow” is “speiro”.

In Hebrew, seed is “זֶרַע zerah” and seed is “זָרַע zarah”.

For thousands of years until the industrial revolution, we lived off the farm. Mankind has always understood the analogies relating to seeding and farming well until relatively recently. I say relatively recently, since it has been about three centuries in some parts of the rich world. Compared to millennia of hunting or farming.

Zarah in Hebrew is the Paal construction, it is an active verb “to sow” or “to give seed” “to sow”.

Seed and sowing

By analogy with agriculture, it can also mean “to spread, disperse, diffuse”.

In Hebrew, Zerah is the noun that means “seed”, but it can also mean “human seed”, “sowing”, “offspring”, “children”.

The Greek word for sowing “Speiro” is fortunately the same. But figuratively, it is used in other contexts as “to spray, germinate, spread, plant, propagate, disperse”.

The Greek word for seed “sperma” is also the same. It literally means “seed”, as it is first used in the book of Genesis. However, figuratively it can mean “animal sperm”, “the act of sowing”, “the origin of anything”, “race, origin, descent or offspring”.

The first time seed and sowing are mentioned is in Genesis on the third day of creation.

Gen 1:11 KJV according to the Masoretic translators

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, and let the grass bring forth seed, and let the fruit tree bring forth fruit after his kind, whose seed is in himself upon the earth: and it was so.

Gen 1:12 KJV according to the Massoretic translators

And the earth brought forth grass, and grass yielding seed after its kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed is in itself after its kind: and God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:11 LXX “And God said, Let the earth bring forth pasture (to feed the animals) of grass (hay, food).

God is scientific and all true science never contradicts God’s laws. He set up the genetics that we are proud to say we have understood since we discovered DNA only 70 years ago.

“Watson and Crick completed their model, which is now accepted as the first correct model of the DNA double helix. On February 28, 1953, Crick interrupted the lunch hour of patrons at The Eagle pub in Cambridge to announce that he and Watson had “discovered the secret of life.”[208] The secret of life, however, was not yet known.

Yet the secret of life, eternal life, is the seed of God, Jesus Christ. He is the promised seed.

Notice that God revealed to Moses a secret here. There are two characteristics to all seeds. All genes and DNA are in the seed of all living things. Plants and animals. And the DNA or genes are expressed in two ways. The genotype and the phenotype

I quote from “technologynetworks Genomic research”.

“The genotype of an individual is the combination of alleles that he has for a specific gene. The phenotype of an individual is the combination of his observable characteristics or traits. While an organism’s genotype is directly inherited from its parents, the phenotype is simply influenced by the genotype. Environmental factors can also affect the phenotype. “

“The sum of an organism’s observable characteristics is its phenotype. A key difference between phenotype and genotype is that while genotype is inherited from an organism’s parents, phenotype is not. “

Think of genes as what makes a seed a seed. God explained here in Genesis the basis of all Genetics or what seeds do.

When God said that plants would sow seeds according to type (genos) and according to likeness (homoiotes), He was saying that the seed established the genes and genetics. It would be transmitted as genotypes (the potential for all characteristics) and it was the genos or type. The seed also determines the phenotype (the expression of this potential), that is, the appearance of a plant or animal. Genetics does not contradict the words of God.

Resemblance is determined by observable traits. Gender or type does not always appear in the likeness. It depends on the environment and how the seed is mixed with other seeds or raised. However, the theory of evolution states that all the seeds or varieties we grow today are the result of selective breeding. Starting with a protozoan to man. Such changes in gender could never have happened by chance and this is not real science

It actually takes more work and explanation to believe that a man like Darwin holds the truth instead of the Creator revealing the truth. There was no one around hundreds of millions of years ago, so this is a religion based on faith, not science. It would take a lot more work to explain how the seed or gene of an amoeba could turn into a man by mere survival and chance.

Then, in Genesis 1:11-12 LXX, it continues: “And God said, Let the earth bring forth beasts of the field, grass, sowing seed according to type and likeness, and fruit trees bringing forth fruit, whose seed (tree, plant, or beast) is in it (fruit), according to type (kind) on the earth; and it was so, and the earth brought forth beasts of the field, sowing seed according to type and likeness

And the fruit tree producing fruit whose seed (the fruit of the tree) is in it (the fruit) according to the type on the earth and God looked upon it as good. “

Now God has introduced the seed, the trees and the fruit. From botany and zoology, all true natural science supports this. God set the parameters of his creation in paradise. Thus, after the creation of the seed and everything on earth, God established laws to maintain order and only man brought chaos and confusion.

The laws of genetics ensure that species of the same genus can mate or inter-pollinate. But only within the genus or type. Many races and many “likenesses” have been expressed and have never been contrary to the order established by God in Genesis.

However, today, mad science is trying to do the impossible. To create a better world against these laws. There are attempts to reproduce seeds of different types. I am not talking about breeding animals or plants of the same kind to form different varieties or likenesses. But man wants to break God’s rules to exalt his pride and create CHimeras!

When man tries to create new types from the types created by God, bad results are the result.

Mixing two seeds that are not of the same created seed cannot work. Each thing after or according to its own type! “

Since ancient times, pagans have believed in mixed seeds or animals called Chimeras.

“In Greek mythology, the Chimera was a magnificent monster. It was an unusual mixture of animals, with a lion’s head and legs, a goat’s head sticking out of its back and a serpentine tail. It caused great destruction until the hero Bellerophon killed the monster with the help of the winged horse Pegasus. “

Look at all the things that mankind has worshipped instead of just believing the words of God. They created myths of animal-men in the Egyptian, Babylonian and Greek religions. Thank God, he protects his creation from this with the solid law of genetics. Everything conforms to his own species and DNA in the seed.

However, humanity is trying to do this and a bill has been passed to try and stop this madness.

The Human Chimera Banned Act (So there are many interested to make monsters)

On July 11, 2005, a bill known as the Human Chimera Prohibition Act was introduced in the United States Congress by Senator Samuel Brownback; however, it died in Congress within a year.

On August 22, 2016, another bill, The Human-Animal Chimera Prohibition Act of 2016, was introduced in the United States House of Representatives by Christopher H. Smith.

The enemy’s dream has always been to destroy God’s laws and create new ones. But they don’t work.

So they want to create a pig-man. That will never really happen.

In 2017, scientists at the Salk Institute in California (led again by Izpisua Belmonte) tried to grow the first embryos containing both human and pig cells. The process turned out to be more difficult than expected and very inefficient: out of 2,075 embryos implanted, only 186 developed to the project’s 28-day deadline.

The best one the mad scientists wasted their time on was a “naked mouse” where they managed to implant human fetal organs. This is not a new genus because it cannot reproduce. Thank God it failed, but why so much effort to prove God wrong? Man will never be able to create new species because God said so. Not evolution. Not laboratories. Only God can create the unique DNA for each seed and each kind of plant or animal! The rest will remain in science fiction as the “theory” of evolution. However, many people reject the Truth and prefer to believe in fiction today.

I started studying seeds because if we do not understand the fundamental physical truth established by God when He created the world, we cannot learn how He spiritually recreated the world after the fall of Man.

Notice that in Paradise, God’s plan was for all animals to eat plants. What has changed since the fall?

Gen 1:29 and 30 tell us that God established the plant kingdom to support the animal kingdom. There was no need for predators in Paradise. There was no need for death or suffering.

Plants served as food for all animal species. “I gave every green herb for food, and it was so. “

Gen 3:15

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; she shall crush your head, and you shall bruise her heel.

But I want to focus on the meaning of the word “seed” because it can teach us a lot about the spiritual world.

It is here that God made the first promise of the coming of his own Son Jesus. He was born of a virgin and was born of the seed of God.

That is why he is called “his seed”, because no other woman had a seed that was not planted by the sperm of a man. Jesus was the only Son of God and he was the seed of God. He carried all the potential inherited from the Holy Spirit our God and he manifested the likeness of God in every way.

This promise was made to the devil. You can fight the woman and her seed Jesus, but in the end HE will crush you. He will crush your head!

So after this promise, the serpent tried everything to stop the seed line so that the Savior would not come. But the serpent is a loser. You cannot stop the promise of God!

Gen 4:25 “And Adam knew his wife again, and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God,” she said, “hath given me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. “

Eve was mistaken and did not see that the seed was going to be placed directly into a woman named Mary because of Mary’s faith. But here again the word seed is used showing that now the whole meaning continues in the seed of a human. The principles first stated in Genesis 1:11 remain the same unless God changes them. We see the same ideas about the meaning of the seed, the tree and the fruit continue in the spiritual realm.

Gen 6:4

The Nephilim were on the earth at that time – and also afterwards – when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

This verse has been misinterpreted and has given rise to the heresy of the serpent seed.

This heresy teaches that the Nephilim were descended from spirit beings or angels who had sex with humans. But this contradicts what we have learned about seed or genetics!

Things of different kinds do not cross, for God in his grace and mercy has set a limit. Everything according to its kind” Gen 1:11 “Sow according to type (genos) and according to likeness (homoiotes). “Imagine that this was not defined by God at creation.

Then it would be normal to have chimeras, lion-men, snake-men, fish-men, goat-fish or poison ivy. Everything is allowed, and man creates chaos. Thank God for his grace and his limits.

The heresy of the Nephilim tells us that they were giants of twelve feet or more in height. But the word Nephilim does not speak of giants in size.

Adam Clark comments, “There were giants on the earth – נפלים nephilim, from נפל naphal, ‘he fell’. Those who had apostasized or fallen from the true religion. The Septuagint translate the original word by γιγαντες, which literally means born on earth, and which we call, following them, giants, without having any reference to the meaning of the word, which we generally conceive to mean persons of enormous stature. But this word, when rightly understood, makes a very fair distinction between the sons of men and the sons of God; these are the nephilim, the fallen men born on earth.

These nephilim were not giants in stature but fallen ones, giants who were cruel oppressors and giants of evil. The sons of God were not necessarily spiritual beings but those who were born from above and acted as children of God and believed in God. It has always been a good guideline for men of God to marry women of faith and not daughters of unbelieving men. Unless one wanted to interfere with God’s plan.

Yet this was genetically impossible. It was a lie and a speculation of men that seeds can be mixed.

Jesus taught us

Jn 3:6

“Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. “

Another objection is raised Matthew 22:30, where Jesus said that angels neither marry nor are given in marriage…

Yet this terrible heresy has been used to begin to believe that there are men who must be destroyed. There are men who are called of “the seed of the serpent” and this is based on the misinterpretation of the word Nephilim and Giants in Genesis 6! This can only lead to the extermination and genocide of those who some think are the “seed of the serpent”.

But God wants all men to be saved and all men are redeemable. Jesus did not die for some men but for all men. He was the savior of the world. Not for a part of the world.

This misunderstanding of the meaning of the seed is so important! If we believe that Eve made love with the serpent. If we believe that the sons of God were angelic beings having sex with human women. We have not understood the basics of Genesis…

Each seed is created according to its kind and that which is flesh cannot come from spirit and that which is spirit cannot be born of flesh.

So what did Jesus mean in his conversation with Nicodemus in John 3?

There must be two distinct births. The flesh and then the spirit. And the two never mix because there are two seeds. Adam’s, which is flesh, and God’s, which is spirit, are two different kinds and very different!

Elements of this teaching appear in the early Gnostic writings of Valentinus (100-160) and in the Gospel of Philip (c. 350)

Valentinus was a tool of the Serpent as a Gnostic. He also started the Trinity heresy.

The heresy of the seed of serpents has no good fruit.

Modern versions of the serpent seed doctrine were developed within the teachings of British Israelism by C. A. L. Totten (1851-1908) and Russel Kelso Carter (1849-1928). Daniel Parker (1781-1844) was also responsible for reviving and promoting the doctrine among Primitive Baptists[2] Teachers of Christian Identity Theology, which branched off from British Israelism, preached the doctrine in the early 20th century and promoted it within the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, the American Nazi Party, and other white supremacist organizations. “Hitler would love this!

Valentinus’ teachings were compiled in the Gnostic Gospel of Philip (c. 350) where the idea that Eve mated with the serpent, or Satan, and produced Cain, finds its first expression.

The seed of the serpent

The expression “seed of the serpent” also has several explanations. It does not refer to the physical descendants of the devil, but rather to those who are his spiritual descendants. There is no indication that Satan ever had a physical offspring.

We must deal with this phrase because it says

Gen 3:15

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; she shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise her heel.

God was addressing a spiritual entity, not a physical one. The serpent, the enemy, is a spiritual entity

He is not made of the earth like Adam, animals and plants.

A spirit cannot have physical offspring.

Unredeemed humanity

Some believe that the seed of the serpent speaks of unredeemed humanity, beginning with Adam and Eve’s first son, Cain, and continuing with all those who oppose God. Jesus called the religious leaders of his day the children of the devil (John 8:44).

Jn 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and you will do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he did not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of himself; for he is a liar, and he is the father of it.

They were the property of the devil and his children until they believed in Jesus. We have all at one time been the property of the devil and his children.

Eph 2:1

And he quickened you, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Eph 2:2

You once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:

We were children of disobedience, and the devil worked in us, until we believed!

Eph 2:3

Among whom also we all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the spirit, and we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest.

We were children of wrath or the devil until we accepted Jesus. The Pharisees whom Jesus called the children of the devil were no different from us. Saul was a child of wrath until he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. We should not categorize people as the seed of God or the seed of the devil. Rather, we should pray that our enemies will side with us.

Although people may be children of the devil in a spiritual sense, no human is a physical descendant of the devil. Being a child of the devil is not a matter of race, but of heart.
