I AM WHAT I AM

1Co 15:10

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

I am not a self made man but He made me! From birth to now I am totally His project. I did not find God, He found me. I have not changed myself, He made me what I am today. Thank you God!

I amsk what I am and thats all  I’s AM ack ack ack!

When I realize this truth, it is an awesome revelation to me. Because we are all only what we are today by the Grace of God! When we see it, it makes you what to work more with God’s grace! Not our own projects without His Grace.

1Co 15:11

Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Because we have this Grace we allow it to work for us and in us to change. To Change first ourself and then the world around us! Every where we go and every thing we touch.

Our commision is to preach the Gospel.

Mar 16:15

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

And the Good new is Jesus overcame death the final victory!

1Co 15:12

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

If He rose we arose with Him. And if we did we have a job to do on earth. There are others that will die and we are going to hoard our treasure?  Not when we see what we have been given. We have received freely so now we can live and give freely. Death has no more hold.

If there is no resurrection no one is raised from death. This is a lie

Because Jesus is risen there is a resurrection from death

1Co 15:13

But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

Who ever denied the resurrection from death where not speaking the truth and needed correction.

1Co 15:14

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

If Chirst was not risen from the dead, then He was just a historical figure. He was just another prophet like the Muslims beleive. And if they honor Him as a prophet how do they explain that the call Him a liar?

John 11 :25 NIV « Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; »

Religions are based on men who are still in the Grave. But Christianity is reality based on a Living Savior who is always with us. He has Risen as He said. He is always with us. Buddha, Confucius, Mo, Einstein, Marx and President Washington may all have had great ideas, but they are dead and cannot help us.

We must be convinced that Christ has been risen. The only way I know I can prove that He is risen is to experience the Life He has given. That is the gift of the Holy spirit.

I know many are saved by their belief in what they cannot see and that is good.  That is how we were saved in the first place. But God’s grace still is saving us every day as we walk close to His Spirit and demonstrate its supernatural power

For those who refuse to see it, the will never have proof. But for those who have faith in Christ and in His resurrection they will speak in tongues and see other manifestation of the Living Christ within their lives. He is alive and because He is we can pray in the spirit to build our faith even more.

In spite of the lies that the world launches daily, we have a weapon to stop all the doubts in their tracks

We can lift the shield of faith to quench all doubts that their is no life after death simply by speaking in tongues. We are not saved by any works and we do not need to speak in tongues in order to believe. But praying in the spirit does build our faith

Jde 1:20 KJV

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jde 1:21 KJV

keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

The King James Version has added a word to the Word of Goda gain. Here I see in the Greek interlinear that there was no « and » or « kai » in the verse 20, and the idea they conveyed by making the pneuma hagion or simply « holy spirit » into the Holy Ghost is more than poetic license. It is very misleading as a translation!

The NAS rendition is much closer to the orginal

Jde 1:20

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Jde 1:21

keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

We are not building up our faith and praying, it is by praying. It is not praying to bring some Ghost into our presence as some teach. The holy spirit is our inner man and we pray by it when we are praying in the holy spirit. No man can really declare JEsus is Lord unless by the spirit

1Co 12:3KJV

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

1Co 12:3NAS

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking [fn]by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is [fn]accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except [fn]by the Holy Spirit.

Co 12:3 NIV

Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

And then Paul continues to show how the gift of the holy spirit is demonstrated into the real material world in signs of power. He lists nine ways and one is speaking in a language that is only  given by way of the holy spirit. We use this to praise God well and also to pray beyond our limited mind direcly to the Father. Also it is a proof to those that do it that there really is a Father and a proof that Jesus is at His right hand listening!

We can take all that on faith yes! But we can grow in our faith if we could just taste it more. And praying in the spirit is the way to win. It is how we lift our sheild of faith and put on all the armor we need in the daily battles of life.

Eph 6:18 NAS

[fn]With every prayer and request, [fn]pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, [fn]be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the [fn]saints,.

We may put some of the armor on with prayer, but we must put on the whole armor with and by spiritual prayer! We need all the armor of God if we would keep our faith and resist in this evil day we are in. We must pray in our understanding yes but also with our spirit. That would be praying and praising God in other tongues.

We have a witness within.  We have been brought to the Lord Jesus by the witness of men

1Jo 5:9

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

What witness could this be but the gift we have within us? That is the holy spirit. This holy spirit will never quesiton the resurrection of the dead. Men can. But the holy spirit within witness and assures us that HE IS RISEN because He is giving us the words that we could not create in our mind without Him. That is supernatural because it is spiritual. He is living in us speaking to His Father in heaven. WHat more proof do we need than that?

1Jo 5:10

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

This witness if the power that Jesus gave on Pentecost. This is the proof. Gods power is supernatural because He is above nature. This proof or witness is undeniable.

I am not saying that the only way God can prove Himself is speaking in tongues. We can also prophecy and we can be brought to Christ by preaching. But that is supernatural when the words are inspired by the same gift, as Peter did in Acts.

We also can see signs and miracles following those preaching Christ with their own language. All this is true. But why have our teachers left out the gifts of healing and miracles. All are how God proves Himself.

We need this power to proove that Jesus is not another dead hero. HE IS ALIVE in 2023!

Act 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Why have certain men taught that this power left when the Bible was printed? Why do some teach Grace but do not let us enjoy it? Why have some convinced us that these powers of the holy spirit were only for the first apostles?  Only to lower our shield of faith??
